How does it feel now that you have won this amazing electric bike?
"Awesome! I haven't really won anything in raffles before, so this feels especially great. It's nice to get to try a different electric bike than the one I've had before."
What made you participate in this raffle?
"I read in the newspaper that you have an opening event and an electric bike raffle. I also knew the band members playing at the opening, whom I talked to on the event day. They directed me to participate in the raffle."
What attracts you the most about electric biking?
"Compared to a regular bike, you ride a lot more with an electric bike. Also, headwinds and hills no longer feel as exhausting as with a regular bike."
Have you already thought about where you will first head with your new bike and what kind of trips you can make with it during the summer?
"First, of course, I head home and then go riding around town. In the summer, my wife and I ride along the Vaasa beaches – she also has an electric bike. There are beautiful views there and Vaasa has really good bike paths."
What would you like to say to people who are considering getting an electric bike?
"First, it's worth trying out an electric bike. Only then do you realize how much benefit an electric bike offers and how much it eases everyday life and traveling. It's also good to remember that you can turn off the electric assist and use it as a completely normal bike."
Don't buy the cheapest electric bikes, but invest in a better bike. A lower price often also means lower product quality, and you get tired of that quickly. Riding a bike should be enjoyable, and with an electric bike it really is. It's an investment for a long time!
I also want to say, get a proper lock for your bike so you can enjoy riding it tomorrow as well."
