The Lapierre Prorace 4.9 is designed for riders seeking a reliable and high-performance hardtail mountain bike for fast trail riding and first cross-country (XC) race experiences. This 2025 model combines a lightweight and durable aluminum frame, quality components, and modern geometry optimized to offer speed and control on gravel roads as well as more technical trails.

Advanced aluminum frame and controlled suspension

The Prorace 4.9 frame is made from Lapierre's high-quality Supreme 5 aluminum alloy, offering an excellent combination of lightness and stiffness. The frame utilizes Lapierre's patented 3D Tubular technology in the seat tube area, which improves rear triangle stiffness and the bike's overall responsiveness, giving you an advantage in both accelerations and technical climbs. Boost-standard thru-axles further increase frame and wheel stiffness.

The front suspension is handled by a RockShox Judy Gold RL air fork with 100 mm travel and remote lockout. The Judy Gold offers sensitive and controlled damping over roots and rocks, while the handlebar-controlled remote lockout allows locking the suspension for efficient pedaling on smoother sections and climbs.
